UpTown Mural Project
A committee was formed in early 2006 to enhance the neighborhood with the addition of a large-scale mural. A site at 1426 Adams near 14th was selected, proposals requested, a final design chosen and some site prep work completed. All done in record time, through 100% volunteer effort and without cost. Initial support raised nearly $3,000 in only two days. Our goal is to raise the $15,000 (a bargain price for such a detailed painting) so work can begin in the summer of 2007.
